SURVEY UPDATE: Does IT Have a Personality?
Neochange's groundbreaking new study is currently in the analysis phase, with results expected to be published in the May-June timeframe. This original study provides fresh insights into how IT organizations can better leverage the "people-side" of their organizations to solve key business challenges.
After 8 years of working side-by-side with IT executives to transform their organizations, we know IT executives have come a long way in addressing the people side of IT management as a result of advances in leadership development and HR practices. However, we have observed patterns in the "personality" of IT organizations - common traits and mindsets not specific to industry or company - that drive behaviors in the areas of relationship building, communication, innovation and most importantly, leadership.
Our unique study into the personality profile of IT seeks to better understand these patterns and their implications for IT executives. It also examines personality traits across IT departments and management levels and how these traits influence communication styles, the development of relationships with business partners and leadership styles.
We have already received over 450 responses but are keeping the survey open for IT executives with the goal of breaking 500. Participants in our research will automatically receive their confidential personality PRINT, commercially worth more than $100, and a copy of the resulting report.
